Beaches without the Hassle
When we think “Florida” we automatically picture white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and dense crowds of people who are all there for the same reason you are. Unlike Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach is just slightly off the heavily beaten tourist track—just enough so that a beach-goer isn’t going to have to scour for a good spot to set up in the sand. There are plenty of beaches to choose from and the water is normally warm enough to swim in March.
At Sky Zone Trampoline Park fun and fitness are the mission. When you’ve had enough of the beach, swing by for a Jump Pass and spend a few hours having the time of your life soaring as high in the air as you can make yourself go. The trampolines are for all ages and fitness levels. You can choose from several different activities including Ultimate Dodgeball, Foam Zone (great for kids), and Sky Slam (basketball with trampolines). There is also Open Jump, a room for freestyle jumping. Check out their website for more details: http://www.skyzone.com/fortlauderdale/Activities-Programs.
Rainy Day Plan B: Festival Flea Market Mall
This is not your typical flea market. First off, it’s huge and has the added bonus of being indoors so it is never rained-out. With over 500 stores to choose from, specializing in all manner of products and services, there is something for everyone at this emporium of goodies. The prices are reasonable and there is even a food court if you decide to make of day of your shopping extravaganza. Often there are musicians, car shows, and festivals which make the Festival Mall a unique experience for you and your family. Check out their website for more information: http://festival.com/.
