About Ogunquit

This New England seaside resort community sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Ogunquit River which makes it ideal for the perfect quiet beach getaway. Surfing, windsailing, body-boarding, and sailing are popular pastimes here, with plenty of rental shops to choose from. Beach walking and photography are also big attractions as the ocean scenery on this side of the Atlantic has to be seen to be believed.

Museum of American Art

This museum caters primarily to coastal Maine sculpture art. The building itself looks like a piece of art—a tranquil resident-style dwelling with gardens of wildflowers and outdoor pieces throughout the land. Inside the floor plan opens up into a chic gallery, adorned with the work of Carl Walters, Eliot O’Hara, Isabella Howland, and Peggy Bacon. Tickets are $10 for adults. Ogunquit Playhouse

Since 1933, this renowned theater has been known as “America’s Foremost Summer Theater” and hosts at least five Broadway shows per year. The obscurity of the town makes it a favorite stopping point on the performance tours for actors, directors, and other people who live their lives in the limelight. Original pieces as well as fan classics are produced at this theater. The play bills for 2017 are already up for the fall season and includes Mamma Mia!, Ragtime: The Musical, From Here to Eternity, and White Christmas.
